And overall, Body Snatched is based around and motivated by a few things:
1. black people are dying. Not to be grim, but it's true: And most of the things we're dying from (chronic diseases, heart attack, stroke, etc) can be prevented with exercise and better nutrition. And I believe black health is a form of activism.
2. getting the body you want - because when a woman looks good, she feels good. And when a woman feels good, she can conquer the world. Here's to getting snatched!
3. sustainable fitness - balance is key: not only when it comes to mind, body and spirit, but also when it comes to having fun in life (and working fitness around your life as opposed to letting fitness dominate your life)
4. educating is just as important as participating - i.e. knowing WHY you're doing a workout, eating a certain way, thinking the way you do, etc is more important to you achieving your goals than just doing those things.
