Sweet Tooth Fix 🦷:
yogurt/ granola/ cherry dessert 🍒

I recently started eating this almost everyday 🥛🙋🏾♀️ And let me just say this - I love sweets. I also eat dark chocolate everyday as well 😆 But when I do that, I do have to reel it in and pay attention. Because those calories don't go far. There's no "filling you up" nutritional value so it's pure treat.
But this?! It not only tastes just as good, but it's relatively low calorie (200-300 depending how light you are on the portions) AND packs a lot of protein and nutrients. 👏🏾 Plus it's dairy so you WILL feel like you ate something. Oh, and it's only 3 ingredients. Easy!
Greek yogurt is the secret sauce with this one. Emphasis on the GREEK. Your typical flavored yogurt will not have the protein or nutrient density - not even close. 🙅🏾♀️
I made this one with Dannon's Light & Fit brand. It's only 80 calories and has 12 grams of protein. Flavor wise, this brand is pretty sweet to me. But you can get milder ones too. You may have to play a little to see what brands you like. Just pay attention to the calories and make sure it has at least 10 grams of protein. 👌🏾
And I just do vanilla because there's already enough "sweetness" and flavor going on. But if you're feeling wild and are crazy on sweet, you can try a "flavored" yogurt I suppose.
I'd last like to point out that this is very versatile - with the amount of different fruit, granola flavors, and yogurt available, sky is the limit on combos you can try. This one just has that chocolate and cherry decadence and it's soooo good. 🤤 So I do suggest you try it this way at least once. 😉
Ingredients (1 serving) fat free or low fat GREEK vanilla yogurt - 1 container *see note 1 cherries (or other fruit) - 1-2 ounces *see note 2 chocolate granola - 1 ounce or less *see note 3
*note 1: as mentioned above, make sure it's Greek yogurt so it will be high in protein and filling. And the "low fat" or "fat free" isn't the biggest deal - it's more about the calorie count. Fat contains the most calories of all macronutrients - so this is why we are aiming for lower fat here. Pay attention to the calories mainly.
*note 2: go crazy. This can work with any fruit you like. Just be sure to pay attention to portions. Some fruit is higher calorie than others so check it out. You should do this just for the sake of knowing if you eat something often anyway. 😁 *note 3: the granola is the very satisfying part taste wise for me, but to be honest, it has a lot of calories for the portion size and the fact it doesn't do much for hunger. This is the main "treat" part of this recipe - accounting for half the calories of the whole thing if you use a full 1 ounce. Just be mindful.
Instructions 1. Open granola package. Depending on if you're feeling fancy or not, you can transfer it to a nicer glass. But it works just fine in the package (it does get a little stuffed after adding ingredients though). 2. Add cherries (or other fruit).
3. Add granola. 4. Stir or don't stir (I'm a stirrer - love all those flavors meshing 😋).
5. Enjoy!
